Ken Berger Club President

 Ken is the current Congressional District 5 Member At-Large, and currently the President of the East Valley Coalition.  Ken is the former Chairman of Legislative District 10, and holds position's within the Arizona Republican Party such as Elected Precinct Committeeman, Precinct Captain, and State Committeeman.  Ken has held positions such as 1st and 2nd Vice Chairman and a retired  Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Ken is also a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.  Ken is a Christian and is married to his wife Kelly for 34 years.  Ken has two children Mark and Morgan, along with two grandchildren Zachery and Bentley.  Ken holds a master's degree in management from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Off-Campus Programs

Julie Willoughby Legislative Liaison

 

Julie Willoughby joined the East Valley Coalition in August of 2023.  Julie’s role consist of training, coaching and mentoring individuals that have an interest in running for the state legislature.  Julie also provides current updates from the State Capitol and provides information on critical issues.  Julie represents Legislative District 13 and currently serves as the House Majority Whip for the Arizona State Legislature.  Julie represents Legislative District 13 which is comprised of Chandler, Gilbert, and Sun Lakes. Julie is a registered nurse with experience in various areas of healthcare and healthcare leadership with a large portion of her career dedicated to trauma emergency medicine. Leading and advocating throughout her career spurred a desire to engage in the civic process and ultimately lead her to the path of becoming an Arizona State Representative.

Julie is a graduate of both Arizona’s community college program through Gateway Community College and university program through Arizona State University, Julie holds her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Leadership and Management.

Julie is using her time as a Representative to work on local and statewide issues and has been assigned to the following committees: Health and Human Services, Appropriations, and Judiciary.

Andrew Adams Chair of Grassroots Strategy

 

 

Andrew Adams is an East Valley–based community leader and political organizer, as well as a husband to Melanie Adams and a father of two children. He is focused on strengthening local engagement and election participation while balancing his commitment to family.

As Chairman of the LD14 Republican Party for over 5 years, he has focused on recruitment, community organizing, and mobilizing precinct committeemen while helping coordinate strategy and communication across the district and broader coalition networks.

Professionally, Andrew is connected to the service industry through Zenith Pools, supporting operations and outreach for pool maintenance and repair services across Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Tempe. His work blends practical business experience with community-facing communication, including social media and client engagement.

Known for his direct approach and focus on execution, Andrew is committed to building organizational strength, increasing voter participation, and ensuring local efforts translate into measurable results.

Michelle Masters Chair of Elections

 

Michelle Masters is a civic leader and election integrity advocate in Arizona’s East Valley. She brings more than three decades of corporate leadership experience in information technology, security, and project management and has been involved with the East Valley Coalition since its inception. For nearly ten years, she has partnered with county party chairmen to recruit, train, and support volunteer election observers and paid election workers serving in Maricopa County elections.

In 2024, Michelle served as Deputy Director for Arizona’s Election Integrity program led by the Republican Party of Arizona and the Republican National Committee. She has also been a volunteer Deputy Registrar with the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office since 2022 and has held several grassroots leadership roles, including Legislative District chairman, Vice President of Ways & Means for the Ahwatukee Republican Women’s Club, and organizer of the Dobson Ranch Republican Club.

Michelle regularly speaks to community groups about how citizens can participate directly in the election process and play an active role in strengthening transparency and public confidence in elections.

She served as Deputy Director for Arizona’s 2024 Election Integrity program and has spent nearly a decade recruiting and training election observers and workers.

Melody Whestone Treasurer

 

Melody Whetsone is the treasurer of the East Valley Coalition and provides a vast variety of leadership to the East Valley Coalition based on her financial background and strategic planning.  She also serves as the elected first vice chairman of Legislative District 10.
